Big Game Day Tomorrow

Well, somehow it has come to this. The Mighty Florida Gators versus the South Carolina Gamecocks for the SEC East title. Both teams at 4-3 in the conference and somehow still in it to, err ah, not lose it. The Ole Ball Coach has to beat his beloved Gators to become a coach who has won a title with 3 different schools - Duke & Florida are the others. Urban Meyer has to win to keep the winning train a rollin'. Who is gonna win? I'm not sure what the betting lines are, but I would assume that the Gators are a favorite since they are coming off a win & the 'Cocks are coming off a loss. But let's be real for a moment, it could easily go either way for either team.

Here is what to look for tomorrow:

Can Florida stop the Gamecocks running game? If they can tackle Marcus Lattimore with the first or 2nd person who touches him then I think the Gators win. If he is able to break tackle after tackle then the game will go the The Visor

Either way - Go Gators!

Since I'm not around on my blog as often as I should be, I thought I should mention that I got my wife to start her own site about Navy Shoes. Check it out if you get a chance. It's new & has a lot of growing to do, but it should be a cool project once it is completed.

My Music Project

Alright, I have a new project site up for me to share my music with the world :)

ElliottClifton.com is now live. It doesn't have a lot of content on it yet, but that will change over the next few months. I intend to add videos of my original music, as well as, covers of songs I enjoy playing. At the moment I only have cover tunes up for your listening pleasure. You can see my version of the Old Crow Medicine Show's song Wagon Wheel & my cover of the Randy Rogers Band song Kiss Me in the Dark. You are welcome to visit the site & request covers you would like for me to make a video of - just leave some comments about what you would like to hear.

Eventually I hope to have my original songs available for download or my albums I've recorded for sale, but that is a long way in the future. Well a little bit in the future anyway. I just wanted to give everyone an update about what I was working on. This project is especially near & dear to my heart because I've wanted to share my musical musings for a long time, but I just never made the time to do it. I hope you enjoy it!

Loopness Update

Well, it has been too long since I updated this blog. I like to tell myself I can't help it. I'm a busy guy after all. So much going on constantly, and then we get outside my brain & thought processes. In reality it all comes down to priorities. Some things just aren't high enough on the list to receive attention. I hate that. Regardless of my feelings it is a fact. There are only some many things we can do with our time. There is only so much which can be squeezed into the short time frame of our lives. I'm probably not telling you anything you are not aware of. I know that I'm talking to myself more than anyone else, and that's not just because no one actually reads this blog other than me - lol.

So, I guess it's time form an update of sorts. Since I last spoke with myself via the Loopness blog a lot has happened. Tim Tebow is now in the NFL - first round draft choice, in fact - take that naysayers ;) We've added to our family by 1 - another little doggie, Bailey (you see his picture to the left). I'm sure there is more, but I lack the wherewithal to remember it at the moment.

My dad has been visiting for the last few weeks. This morning we went fishing over at a friend's place. We had a great morning of fishing. I caught a couple of bass & so did Dad. It was great to be out there fishing again. I think it has been something like 2 or 3 years since I got out there. Back to the priorities thing again. I am already jonesing to get back out on the water again. The Jonesing sucks, but the experience is always great when you get to it.

I have a couple of new web projects I'm working on these days. They are both for clients of mine, and they could not be more different in philosophy. The first one is going to grow into a really great furniture site over the next few years. I'm really excited about this project, and I think it is going to meet the needs of my client in great fashion. You can check it out if you would like to: Furniture Unleashed The other project is so different. It is going to be a static html site that is basically for their affiliate business. I really like the focus, but then again, what man doesn't like a Red Corset? It is still a week or so away from being completed. The part I hate most about creating sites is the content work needed. I like to write, but I do it so much these days that it has somewhat lose its allure. Once the content is written then the Red Corset site will be ready to go.

I'm calling today Chicken Fried Saturday. We are all loading up, and heading over to a friends house for a night of chicken fried steak, Keystone, guitar playin', tall tale tellin', and lots of general merriment. Ohh yeah, I almost forgot, my pal Micah is goign to show me how to find water with a method he calls "witching" - it looks like a night of prioritization to me ;)

Be good, and if you can't, at least be good at it ;)
